Northern Ireland Travel Information

After decades of uncertainty, today Northern Ireland is a nation rejuvenated. The 1998 Good Friday Agreement heralded peace and following in its steps came a huge influx of investment and regeneration.
Belfast, the largest and capital city, is a hip and happening vibrant artistic city with a notorious nightlife. It’s once volatile history has translated into edge and culture, drawing many young people to live and work here. You can dance until the early hours in cutting-edge clubs or eat in one of the many modern cuisine restaurants. Love & Death Inc. offers quirky colourful charm, complete with a cocktail bar. Mourne Seafood Bar, founded by chef-patron Andy Rae, offers a winning formula of fresh fish dishes and an oyster bar upstairs.
If you’re looking for a more rural experience, head to Giant’s Causeway, a World Heritage Site consisting of an area of coastline and cliffs with very distinct volcanic stone formations. It is believed that the rocks were once part of a bridge and stem from the local Legend of Fionn McCool. The terrain is generally quite rough so come prepared with either walking boots or sturdy shoes.
